Samsung is reportedly preparing a fourth model for the Galaxy S27 lineup, and a new leak has now shared details about the expected camera setup of the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro.

Earlier rumors suggested that the Galaxy S27 Pro could be a smaller version of the Galaxy S27 Ultra without an S Pen. However, the latest leak points to one important camera difference between the two models.

Tipster Ice Universe claimed on Weibo that the Galaxy S27 Pro will use the same main and ultrawide cameras as the Galaxy S27 Ultra, according to SamMobile. Both sensors are said to be new.

However, the telephoto camera is expected to be different between the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The exact difference is not clear yet.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to move from four rear cameras to three.

The report says Samsung may remove the dedicated 3x telephoto camera and rely on a single telephoto shooter instead. Android Police reported that this would be a major change for Samsung’s Ultra lineup if the leak proves accurate.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is also expected to receive new sensors for both the main camera and the ultrawide camera.

Notebookcheck reported that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra may share the same new main and ultrawide sensors, while the zoom camera could separate the two models.

The smaller size of the Galaxy S27 Pro may be one reason for the different telephoto hardware. The Pro model could use a smaller sensor or a different zoom setup, but that has not been confirmed.

Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S27 Pro or any Galaxy S27 camera specifications.

The Galaxy S27 series is still far from launch, and early hardware leaks can change before release. For now, the reports suggest Samsung may be planning a more compact Pro model while also reworking the Ultra’s long running rear camera setup.
