The Punjab School Education Department has announced a new E-Transfer round for teachers who have recently been promoted or are awaiting postings, giving eligible candidates another opportunity to complete the posting process. According to a notification issued on July 31, 2026, the competent authority has approved the E-Transfer round to facilitate the actualization of promotions and the posting of teachers who were unable to complete the process earlier.

Eligible teachers can submit their E-Transfer applications from August 3 to August 5, 2026.

The verification of documents will take place from August 6 to August 7, while concerns raised by applicants will be addressed on August 8. Posting orders are scheduled to be issued on August 11, 2026.

The department has directed all Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authorities) to ensure that promoted teachers are properly tagged on the School Information System (SIS).

The notification also states that promoted teachers who fail to receive a posting order because they submit fewer preferences than required, or do not submit any preference, will be posted by the department through the SIS Portal against any available vacant post.

The same policy will apply to teachers awaiting postings. If they fail to provide the required preferences or do not submit any at all, the School Education Department will assign them to any available vacant position through the SIS Portal.
