The Services and General Administration Department has announced a public holiday on August 14 to mark Independence Day.
According to the notification, Friday, August 14, will be a public holiday across the province, and government offices and most institutions will remain closed.
The announcement said emergency services will remain operational to ensure the continued provision of essential services to the public during the holiday.
