The Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has announced a province-wide Large-Scale Assessment (LSA-2026) for Grade 4 students in selected schools across Punjab.
According to an official notification issued on May 6, the assessment will be conducted in schools operating under the School Education Department (SED), Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), Punjab Education Management Authority (PIMA), Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education (L&NFBE), Special Education Department, District Public Schools (DPS), and registered private schools.
The assessment will begin on May 11 with Mathematics and continue on May 12 for Urdu, May 13 for English, May 14 for Urdu and English listening, dictation, reading and speaking fluency assessment, and May 18 for Science.
Most papers will be held from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, while the Mathematics assessment on May 11 will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Each paper will have a duration of three and a half hours.
PECTAA said the assessment will be sample-based and conducted in selected schools across the province to evaluate learning outcomes of Grade 4 students.
