All private, public, and goods transport services in Rawalpindi have been suspended with immediate effect until further notice, according to official instructions shared by the Official Account of DC Rawalpindi on X.
Authorities have stated that further updates will be issued as the situation develops.
Meanwhile, more than 10,000 police personnel have been deployed across the city, while over 600 checkpoints have been established at key entry and exit points to ensure strict monitoring and control.
If the second round of US-Iran talks are confirmed today, then from midnight tonight, all surrounding areas of Nur Khan Airbase and Islamabad International Airport will be completely sealed as part of enhanced security arrangements.
So far, citizens have been advised to remain cautious and cooperate with law enforcement agencies as the region remains under heightened security measures.
