Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has been included in ESPNCricInfo’s panel for The Greatest Men’s International Cricketers of the Century , a project focused on selecting the best men’s international players from 2000 to 2025.

The feature reviews performances across Tests, ODIs and T20Is over the last 25 years, with attention to players’ records, consistency, leadership and overall influence on the game.

Shan Masood is among the cricket voices invited to take part in the voting process. His selection places him alongside respected figures involved in assessing the players who shaped modern international cricket.

A left-handed top-order batter, Masood made his Test debut for Pakistan in 2013 against South Africa, scoring 75. He recorded his maiden Test century in 2015 against Sri Lanka during a successful run chase and later added hundreds against Bangladesh, England and South Africa.

In 2024, Masood crossed 2,000 Test runs and became the 17th Pakistan captain to score a Test century. Under his captaincy, Pakistan also defeated England 2-1 at home, securing their first home Test series win since 2021.

Beyond international cricket, Masood has held leadership roles with Southern Punjab, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings and Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

His inclusion in the ESPNcricinfo panel gives Pakistan representation in a high-profile cricket project reviewing the leading international players of the modern era.
