Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed and captain Shaheen Afridi have moved up in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings after strong performances against Australia in the ongoing three-match series.
Abrar climbed seven places to enter the top five, moving up to fourth position with 633 rating points. Shaheen also made progress, rising four places from 17th to 13th with 593 points.
No other Pakistan bowler gained positions in the rankings. Haris Rauf remained in 19th place, while Naseem Shah dropped five spots to 45th. Mohammad Wasim Jr slipped four places to 65th, Mohammad Nawaz fell five places to 75th, and Faheem Ashraf moved down one place to 98th.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top of the ODI bowling rankings. England’s Jofra Archer is second, while South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj is third.
In the ODI batting rankings, no Pakistan batter improved his position. Former captain Babar Azam retained sixth place with 687 rating points.
Salman Ali Agha dropped five places from ninth to 14th with 638 points. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan slipped three places to 30th, Fakhar Zaman dropped two places to 33rd, and Saim Ayub remained in 41st place. Abdullah Shafique fell six places to 99th.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell continues to lead the ODI batting rankings. India’s Virat Kohli is second, while Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran is third.
