The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has launched immediate administrative reforms aimed at improving sports governance and facilitating athletes and national sports federations across the country.

On his first day after assuming additional charge as Director General of the PSB, Secretary of the Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Division Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani directed officials to simplify and shorten the affiliation proforma for National Sports Federations.

According to officials, the revised format is more concise, practical and user-friendly while still maintaining transparency and governance compliance requirements.

The PSB has also streamlined the No Objection Certificate (NOC) proforma and related documentation for athletes and sports federations travelling abroad for international competitions, training camps and sporting events.

Officials said the move would help reduce unnecessary delays, minimize paperwork and improve coordination between sports federations and the Pakistan Sports Board.

Speaking about the reforms, Wani said the initiative aimed to promote athlete-centered governance, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, improve administrative efficiency and encourage greater participation of Pakistani athletes in international sporting activities.

He added that the PSB would continue pursuing institutional reforms focused on transparency, digitization, better service delivery and easier access for all stakeholders linked to the sports sector.
