Pakistan Post has slashed the monthly fuel allowance for postmen and delivery agents across the country, replacing the previous category based system with a uniform fuel allocation for all mail delivery staff.
Under the revised policy approved by the Director General of Pakistan Post, every postman and delivery agent will now receive 30 litres of fuel per month. Previously, postmen received 35 litres, while delivery agents were entitled to 60 litres in major cities and 50 litres in smaller cities.
The department said the new policy will apply uniformly to all personnel involved in mail delivery operations nationwide.
In a separate directive, the Director General instructed all postmasters general to clear pending fuel reimbursement claims on a priority basis as soon as funds for the 2026-27 fiscal year become available.
The revised policy will take effect across all Pakistan Post circles, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, Quetta and Muzaffarabad.
