Oppo has officially introduced the Find X9 Ultra, its most powerful slab phone yet. The new flagship smartphone was unveiled in China, and the company has also confirmed plans to launch it in select global markets.
As always, the Find X9 Ultra focuses heavily on camera performance while also bringing flagship-grade hardware, a large battery, and a premium display.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra features a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. The panel supports refresh rates of up to 144Hz and can reach a peak brightness of 3,600 nits.
The display also supports Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid content. Protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while security is provided through an under-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Oppo has equipped the phone with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. In Europe, the handset is available in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange finishes. It weighs up to 236 grams and measures up to 9.10mm thick in the Tundra Umber version. Buyers in China also get an additional Polar Glacier White color option.
The Find X9 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
The smartphone runs Android 16 with Oppo’s ColorOS 16 software on top. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, and GPS.
The main highlight of the device is its Hasselblad-branded quad rear camera system. The primary sensor is a 200MP Sony LYT-901 unit with a 1/1.12-inch size, f/1.5 aperture, and optical image stabilization.
It also includes a 200MP OmniVision OV52A periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A second telephoto unit uses a 50MP Samsung JNL sensor with 10x optical zoom and sensor-shift optical stabilization.
Oppo said the 10x camera uses an industry-first quintuple prism reflection periscope system designed to deliver 20x optical-quality zoom. The fourth rear camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultra-wide sensor with autofocus, while a 3.2MP true color sensor is also included.
For selfies, the Find X9 Ultra features a 50MP Samsung JN5 front camera with autofocus.
Oppo has also introduced a new-generation Hasselblad Master Mode with an updated imaging pipeline that does not rely on generative AI. Users also get 50MP JPEG MAX and 50MP RAW MAX support with up to 16-bit color depth.
Additional imaging tools include Hasselblad XPAN mode and improved video recording features. The phone supports 4K video at 60fps, 4K at 120fps, and 8K at 30fps. It also includes O-Log2, real-time LUT preview, LUT Burn-in, improved stabilization, autofocus, and enhanced audio recording.
