South Air Pakistan has rejected claims circulating on social media that the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is deliberately delaying the airline’s launch by withholding its Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
The clarification came after a social media post alleged that South Air had completed all required tests but had yet to receive an AOC, claiming that regulatory authorities were delaying the approval process.
In an official statement, South Air Pakistan described the claims as “baseless and incorrect” and distanced itself from comments directed at aviation regulators.
The airline said it remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operational excellence and is working under the guidance and support of the PCAA.
South Air also emphasized that it does not endorse negative remarks about regulators and reiterated its commitment to completing all regulatory requirements before commencing operations.
The airline further advised the public to rely only on its official website and verified Facebook and Instagram accounts for authentic information, warning that other pages or channels claiming to represent the company do not reflect its official position.
South Air is among the new private airlines preparing to enter Pakistan’s aviation sector and is currently completing the regulatory process required before the launch of commercial operations.
