Motorola has introduced the Moto Pad 70, the third member of its Moto Pad 70 tablet series. The company unveiled the Moto Pad 70 Pro in June and followed it with the Moto Pad 70 Groove last week.

Motorola describes the Moto Pad 70 as a premium tablet focused on portability, productivity, creativity and entertainment. The company also calls it the “thinnest and lightest 5G tablet.”

The Moto Pad 70 measures 6.49mm thick in its 5G version, while the Wi-Fi model is slightly thinner at 6.29mm. The tablet weighs 530g and features a metal design.

It has a 12.1-inch LCD with a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of brightness. The display also supports a stylus.

Motorola offers the tablet in a single Pantone Sea Angel colour.

The Moto Pad 70 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

A dedicated microSD card slot allows users to expand storage by up to 2TB.

The tablet ships with Android 16 even though Android 17 is already available. Motorola plans to upgrade the device to Android 17 later. The company has also promised three years of security updates.

Motorola includes AI Rewrite, AI Summary, and AI Continue Writing features, which can also be used with the Moto Pen stylus.

The Moto Pad 70 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

A 10,200mAh battery powers the tablet and supports 45W charging. However, Motorola includes a 68W power adapter in the box.

Other features include an IP52 rating, four Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers, dual microphones, a USB-C port, voice calling, and keyboard support.

The Moto Pad 70 comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations. Motorola has only confirmed pricing for the 256GB version, which costs $356.

The Moto Pen comes included with the tablet, while the Moto Folio keyboard is sold separately.

The 256GB Moto Pad 70 will go on sale starting August 15 through Motorola’s website, Flipkart, and leading retail stores.
