Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Max as the latest addition to its Edge 70 series.
The new phone comes with a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a 7,100mAh battery, and up to 12GB of RAM. It will be available from July 20.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max features an aluminium frame with Gorilla Glass 7i protection on both the front and back.
The phone also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification for added durability.
It is available in three Pantone colour options: Dark Shadow, Ice Melt, and Aqua Gray.
On the front, the phone has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a claimed peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits. The display also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Edge 70 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The phone is available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
It ships with Android 16. Motorola has promised three major OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
The phone also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera on the back.
It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2-in-1 light sensor.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 32MP front camera placed inside a centred hole-punch cutout.
The phone has a 7,100 mAh battery. It supports 90W wired charging and 25W magnetic wireless charging.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max starts at $570 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs $622.
The phone will go on sale on July 20.
