The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified operations against illegal commercial buildings and property owners involved in unauthorized commercialization across the city.

During a major enforcement campaign carried out on Tuesday, the LDA Town Planning Wing sealed 125 properties in different areas of Lahore over illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialization fees.

According to LDA officials, 66 properties were sealed in Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi and Samanabad, while another 24 properties were sealed on PIA Road.

Authorities said 20 properties in Gulberg and New Garden Town were sealed for unauthorized commercial activities and failure to clear commercialization dues. In a separate recovery operation, LDA teams also sealed 15 properties in Sabzazar.

The affected properties included private schools, bakeries, pharmacies, clinics, grocery stores, beauty salons, workshops, restaurants, food outlets, shops and offices. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asaduz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
