Police have uncovered an alleged organized drug trafficking network during a raid in Lahore’s Dhyal village in the Batapur area, recovering 24 kilograms of heroin, seven drones, and a cache of heavy weapons.
According to police officials, two suspects, including a woman, were arrested during the operation. The seized heroin is estimated to be worth Rs. 36 million in the illegal drug market.
Authorities also recovered an SMG rifle, an M4 rifle, three 9mm pistols, six magazines, and more than 1,170 rounds of ammunition, including 377 bullets for the SMG and over 800 cartridges of other calibers.
Police said investigations are underway to determine the full scope of the alleged narcotics network and identify other individuals who may be involved in the operation.
The suspects have been taken into custody, while further legal proceedings are being initiated under the relevant laws.
