Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced that Regal Chowk will be renamed Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk ahead of Rabi ul Awwal celebrations in the city.

The announcement came during the mayor’s visit to Regal Chowk in Saddar, where he was accompanied by the municipal commissioner and members of the City Council.

Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza Wahab said Karachi would be decorated and illuminated during the holy month of Rabi ul Awwal. He also announced that Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk would undergo redevelopment and beautification.

The mayor said the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had ensured exemplary arrangements during Muharram and pledged to provide the best possible civic facilities to residents during Rabi ul Awwal as well.

He added that all relevant departments would remain on high alert throughout the sacred month to ensure smooth arrangements and public convenience.
