National Incubation Centers (NICs) established and funded by Ignite have incubated more than 2,250 startups since 2017, generating over 185,000 jobs and more than Rs. 36.3 billion in revenue, according to data from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
The nationwide NIC network has also helped startups raise more than Rs. 34.7 billion in investment from local and international investors, while around 31 percent of the incubated startups, or approximately 700, are women-led. The network operates across Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Hyderabad.
Ignite has established NICs across all provinces and the federal capital, with specialized facilities including an aerospace-focused center in Rawalpindi and an agri-tech incubator in Faisalabad. A ninth NIC is being established in Sialkot, and it will commence operations soon, further expanding access to incubation and entrepreneurship support.
In addition to the NIC network, the Pakistan Startup Fund provides equity-free grants to eligible startups. Ignite has so far selected three startups in the latest round of investment grants. The initiative is aimed at supporting startups in raising capital and scaling their businesses without diluting founders’ equity.
Ignite has also established two Centers of Excellence for Gaming and Animation in Lahore and Karachi, which became operational in November 2025. The centers provide training, mentorship, and infrastructure to develop Pakistan’s talent in gaming and animation and strengthen the country’s technology-driven innovation ecosystem.
