The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Jhelum on Thursday to facilitate routine maintenance and development work.
According to the utility, electricity supply in the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 10:00 am in areas served by the Kurri, Rehara, CM Pak Zong and IT Park feeders.
In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power will remain unavailable from 6:00 am to 10:00 am in areas connected to the LTC, New Mandra, Old Mandra, Hamid Jhangi, Old Rawat, New Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco and CWO feeders.
Meanwhile, consumers in the Jhelum Circle supplied through the Hayat Sir Road, Karyala, Metro City, Grand City and Bolani feeders will also face power outages from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
In the GSO Circle, electricity will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm in areas connected to the Cap. Nasir, Col. Akram, Mangla Cantt, Dina-3 and Dina-4 feeders. Power supply will also remain suspended from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines, while the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with the related earth switch and surrounding areas, will remain without electricity from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
IESCO said electricity supply would be restored before the scheduled time if maintenance work is completed earlier than expected and apologized to consumers for the temporary inconvenience.
