The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a power suspension schedule for Sunday in several areas of its service region due to maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply in parts of Attock Circle will remain suspended from 5 a.m. to noon in Industrial Estate Bahtar and Hussain Abad feeders.
In Chakwal Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 6 a.m. to noon in Mureed, Jamal Wal and Mengan feeders.
In the GSO Circle, electricity supply will be suspended at different times. Power will remain off from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. on the 132kV Circuit Breaker ISD 5 controlling the 132kV Zero Point-I-8 circuit.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the suspension will affect the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines. Power supply will also remain suspended from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with related earth switches and surrounding areas.
IESCO apologized to consumers for the temporary disruption and said it would restore electricity earlier if maintenance work finished ahead of schedule.
