Islamabad Traffic Police have launched a “Mechanic on Wheels” service to provide motorists with roadside assistance during emergencies such as flat tires and mechanical breakdowns.
The initiative aims to provide commuters with quick assistance when their vehicles develop sudden technical problems on the road. Motorists can call the Islamabad Traffic Police helpline 1915 to request roadside assistance.
According to an Islamabad Traffic Police spokesperson, trained technicians from the “Mechanic on Wheels” service will reach stranded motorists and carry out necessary repairs at the location. The service will help drivers avoid prolonged waits and potentially unsafe roadside situations.
Islamabad Police launched the service under the slogan, “Where your car stops, help arrives.”
Officials said the initiative will help make travel across the federal capital safer and more convenient by providing motorists with timely assistance during mechanical emergencies. Islamabad Traffic Police have urged motorists to call 1915 whenever their vehicles break down and request assistance through the “Mechanic on Wheels” service.
