Huawei has introduced the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition, a new laptop that appears aimed at younger buyers through a lighter design, bold color choices, and ecosystem-focused software features.
The new model combines a slim chassis, OLED high refresh rate display, and Huawei’s in-house Kirin processor.
Huawei has designed the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition with a thin 14.5mm profile and a weight of around 1.33kg.
The laptop is available in Wild Green, Cherry Blossom Pink Gold, and Space Gray color options.
The Green and Pink variants feature round, matching-color keys for a more playful look, while the Gray model uses a more traditional design.
Huawei has also updated the chassis with a new D-shell structure and nearly 5,000 tiny air vents underneath to improve airflow. The keyboard offers 1.5mm key travel.
On the front, the laptop features a 14.2-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports full sRGB and P3 color coverage, displays 1.07 billion colors, and includes Huawei’s PaperMatte coating to reduce glare.
The Huawei MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition is powered by Huawei’s Kirin X90 processor. It runs HarmonyOS 6.1 and is backed by a 40W TDP design with a dual-fan cooling system. Huawei positions the laptop for daily productivity tasks and multitasking workloads. HarmonyOS includes AI features such as Celia Deep Research and note-taking tools.
The system also offers tighter integration for users already using Huawei devices.
The laptop supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Huawei’s NearLink technology. Huawei has also included a full range of ports, though specific port types were not detailed.
The MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition packs a 70Wh battery. Huawei claims up to 21 hours of local video playback and up to 20 hours of streaming use.
Pricing starts at $967 and goes up to $1261, depending on configuration.
