The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has ruled out any possibility of rainfall in Karachi, forecasting hot and humid weather conditions for the city today, even as severe weather continues to affect several other parts of the country.

The Met Office said the city will remain under a hot weather spell with no chance of rain. It added that southwesterly winds are blowing at around 16 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching up to 33 kilometers per hour, contributing to uncomfortable conditions.

The minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 30°C, while humidity levels reached 69%, making the weather feel significantly warmer.

The current temperature stands at 34°C, with the maximum expected to range between 36°C and 38°C during the day.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall, strong winds, and hailstorms affected multiple regions across Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

At least three people lost their lives, and seven others were injured in weather-related incidents. In a village near Kandhkot, one person died and three others were injured after being struck by lightning. In Rojhan, strong winds blew away solar panels, killing two people and injuring another.

In Sadiqabad, heavy winds and torrential rain caused significant damage, bringing down trees, signboards, walls, and electricity poles, and injuring three people.

Despite the destruction in some areas, several regions experienced relief from the heat. Sukkur recorded strong winds, rain, and hail that lowered temperatures, while Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Thul, and Garhi Khairo saw dust storms and gusty winds that made weather conditions more bearable.

Shahdadkot and nearby areas received rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with egg-sized hail reported in Qubo Saeed Khan. Rainfall and strong winds were also recorded in Mehar and the surrounding areas.

In Balochistan districts, including Nasirabad and Dera Murad Jamali, rain and hailstorms improved weather conditions.

Heavy rainfall was also reported in Mirpur, Mangla, and Islamgarh in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, while Abbottabad and the Galiyat region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received substantial rainfall.
