Grand Theft Auto 6 may offer both 30 FPS and 60 FPS graphics modes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, according to a new rumor.
The claim comes from a source that reportedly leaked details about The Witcher 3 downloadable content before its official announcement. However, the information remains unconfirmed and should be treated as a rumor.
According to the report, Rockstar is likely working on two graphics modes for GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
One mode would run the game at 30 FPS, while the second would target 60 FPS.
Many players have expected GTA 6 to run at 30 FPS because of the game’s reported scale and technical demands. A 60 FPS option would therefore be a notable addition.
It could also be the first time a Rockstar game launches with two separate graphics modes, although this has not been confirmed.

The report also claims that GTA 6 currently runs at 30 FPS on Xbox Series S.
However, Rockstar is reportedly trying to increase the frame rate to 60 FPS. The source said the developers are not yet certain whether the 60 FPS mode will be ready at launch.
Microsoft is also reportedly working with Rockstar on the Xbox Series S version of the game.
This cooperation could help Rockstar improve performance on the less powerful console, although there is no official confirmation that the Series S will receive a 60 FPS mode.
The claim reportedly comes from a single source described as being close to Rockstar and considered reliable.
However, Rockstar and Microsoft have not confirmed the reported graphics modes or their work on the Xbox Series S version.
Official performance details may not arrive until GTA 6 moves closer to release.
A 60 FPS mode could make a major difference for players who prefer smoother gameplay, but the final performance options remain uncertain.
