Grand Theft Auto VI has become the No. 1 best-selling game on the PlayStation Store, despite being nearly five months away from its November 19, 2026 release.

A screenshot from this writer’s PlayStation Store’s “Best Selling” chart shows GTA 6 occupying the top spot, ahead of major titles including Fortnite, NBA 2K26, Marvel Rivals, and Call of Duty.

The game has also climbed to the top of Xbox Store sales charts following the launch of pre-orders.

The milestone comes just days after Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for the highly anticipated title. GTA 6 is available for $79.99 for the Standard Edition, while the $99.99 Ultimate Edition includes exclusive in-game content, with many players opting for the premium version despite its higher price.

Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Every pre-order also includes the Vintage Vice City Pack and a complimentary month of GTA+ for eligible digital purchases.

While social media users have claimed that GTA 6 has already surpassed 50 million pre-orders, Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive have not released any official pre-order figures.
