Panic gripped passengers of a green electric bus after an unidentified person hurled stones at the vehicle on Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi, damaging a window during the attack.
According to an FIR lodged by route officer Rhiraz Ahmad, the bus was travelling from Marir Chowk to Motorway Moor on Tuesday with around 100 passengers on board, including women and children.
He said the incident occurred near Charing Cross on Peshawar Road, where an unidentified suspect pelted stones at the bus. One of the stones damaged the window glass on the conductor’s side of the vehicle.
Despite the scare, no passenger was injured in the incident. The suspect managed to flee the scene after the attack.
Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
