The School Education Department has announced merit-based recruitment for administrative positions, including Headmaster, Senior Headmaster, and Principal posts in government high and higher secondary schools.
The department has invited online applications from eligible teachers through the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal. Officials stated that the selection process will be transparent and competitive, based on written tests and interviews.
According to the notification, candidates for Headmaster (Grade 17), Senior Headmaster (Grade 18), and Principal (Grades 19 and 20) must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. A minimum of five years of teaching or administrative experience has been made mandatory for applicants.
Candidates will be required to pass a written test assessing basic IT skills, knowledge of government rules and regulations, and teaching competencies. Successful candidates will also undergo interviews as part of the final selection process.
The department has clarified that applications will only be accepted online via the HRMS portal. Submissions through postal mail or manual methods will not be considered. The last date to apply is June 17.
Officials further stated that no TA/DA will be provided for candidates appearing in the test or interview.
The initiative aims to ensure the appointment of qualified, experienced, and capable educators in administrative roles, ultimately improving the quality of education in public sector schools.
