The Punjab government has opened applications for the Chief Minister’s Magnificent Tourism Internship Program Phase II.

The three-month paid internship offers a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000. Eligible graduates can submit their applications online until September 15, 2026.

The Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department, Government of Punjab, announced the latest internship opportunity. The program aims to provide recent graduates with practical experience in tourism, archaeology, heritage and museum-related work.

Applicants must be between 21 and 28 years old. They must also hold a Punjab domicile.

Candidates need at least 16 years of education from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission. According to the announcement, applicants must have completed a relevant degree within the last two years.

The Punjab tourism internship will continue for three months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 during this period.

According to the program rules, the department will pay the stipend through banking channels. Payments will also depend on the intern’s attendance and performance.

The internship does not guarantee permanent employment. It provides temporary training and practical work experience.

The department may place selected interns at tourism, archaeology and museum offices across Punjab.

Possible placements include the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab, Department of Tourist Services, Directorate General of Archaeology and Lahore Museum.

The department may also assign interns to other relevant offices or workstations. Placements will depend on available positions and the preferred district entered in the application form.

The department will monitor attendance through a GPS-enabled mobile application. Interns will need to log in and out from their assigned workplace.

Each intern can take up to two approved leaves per month. The department may deduct part of the stipend if an intern takes additional leave.

Interns must follow official working hours, maintain punctuality and complete the assignments given by their supervisors. They must also follow the department’s dress code and confidentiality rules.
