Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum posted an Instagram poll that featured four major camera phones.
The lineup featured the Leica Leitzphone, iPhone 17 Pro Max, Vivo X300 Ultra, and Oppo Find X9 Ultra. All of these smartphones are widely seen as serious contenders in the premium camera phone race.
Known to millions online as faz3, Sheikh Hamdan asked followers a simple question: “Which one would you choose?”
The iPhone 17 Pro Max dominated the poll with 80 percent of the vote, comfortably beating every other device in the lineup.
The Leica Leitzphone came in second with 9 percent, followed by the Vivo X300 Ultra with 8 percent. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra finished last with 3 percent.
The result was striking given the strong camera credentials of the competing phones. The Leica Leitzphone brought a photography-first identity with a 1-inch main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and Leica’s signature imaging profiles.
Vivo’s X300 Ultra entered the contest with a powerful dual 200MP camera setup, ZEISS-backed optics, gimbal stabilization, and a large Sony sensor.
Oppo’s newly launched Find X9 Ultra also arrived with a dual 200MP Hasselblad-tuned system and a massive battery aimed at power users.
Even against that hardware-heavy competition, Apple’s flagship emerged as the overwhelming favorite. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, launched in September last year, features an A19 Pro chip, three 48MP rear cameras, and the longest optical zoom yet on an iPhone at 8x.
