Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek has released two new mid-premium mobile chipsets with the quiet launch of the Dimensity 7450 and Dimensity 7450X.

The new processors have appeared on MediaTek’s official website and are expected to power upcoming smartphones and foldable devices. Early reports suggest the Dimensity 7450X could debut in the rumored Motorola Razr 70.

Both chipsets are built on a 4nm-class manufacturing process and use an octa-core CPU design. They include four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.

MediaTek has added its sixth-generation NPU for improved on-device AI processing. According to the company, the AI engine offers up to 7% better performance than previous-generation chips while improving efficiency for AI camera tools and other edge AI workloads.

For gaming, the processors include HyperEngine technology and Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0, which are designed to balance power use and performance during gameplay.

The Dimensity 7450 series supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G download speeds of up to 3.27Gbps with 3CC carrier aggregation. For imaging, both chips support camera sensors up to 200MP through the Imagiq 950 ISP.

They also support 4K HDR video recording, hardware-assisted noise reduction, and Google Ultra HDR imaging.

Display support includes WFHD+ panels at up to 120Hz and Full HD+ displays at up to 144Hz refresh rates. Both processors support LPDDR5 and LPDDR4X RAM with speeds up to 6400Mbps. Storage compatibility includes UFS 2.2 and UFS 3.1 standards.
