Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired an important meeting in Islamabad, where it was decided that the entire record of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will be digitized within 120 days.
The minister said the initiative will improve transparency, speed up official processes, and allow citizens to check the updated status of their applications themselves.
Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that no illegal housing society will be allowed to operate in Islamabad under any circumstances. He said strict action will be taken against illegal developments, while the digitisation of CDA records will help reduce delays, eliminate manual complications, and improve public service delivery.
During the meeting, it was informed that pre-qualification of three international companies has been completed for the construction of a new Convention Center, Expo Center, and Islamabad Arena.
The interior minister directed that the construction work should be completed before the SCO Summit. It was also decided to allocate land for the establishment of a Khidmat Markaz in Sector F-6.
The interior minister also directed authorities to start work soon on modern recreational facilities, including Top Golf, hot air balloon, zip line, water park, and amusement park. He said modern sports complexes will also be developed to promote sports activities in the federal capital.
He also sought a comprehensive plan to develop F-9 Park on the pattern of Hyde Park and to introduce recreational facilities near Shahdara Dam.
Mohsin Naqvi ordered immediate work on the beautification and lighting of Expressway and Club Road. He also congratulated CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf and Member Estate Zaman Wattoo for exposing a corruption scandal in the authority.
He warned that no person involved in corruption will be given any concession. CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf gave a detailed briefing and informed the meeting that construction of the service road on Expressway will begin after approval from the Planning Division.
