The Balochistan government has launched a new Green Line Bus Service in Quetta on the directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, aiming to improve public transport and healthcare access.
The service connects key areas of the city to the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, providing safe, reliable, and affordable travel for patients and their attendants.
According to the provincial transport department, buses will operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with departures every 45 minutes to reduce waiting times.
The route passes through major routes including BA Mall, FC Hospital, Nawan Killi, Zarghoonabad, Haji Manan, Labour Colony, Abdul Khaliq Chowk, Christian Colony, Highway Mart, Maleezai, Nasran, and NUST before reaching the cardiac institute.
Officials said the initiative focuses on ensuring timely and comfortable transportation for those seeking medical care. They added that the government remains committed to expanding public welfare projects and improving the urban transport network.
The launch marks a significant step toward enhancing mobility and strengthening access to healthcare facilities in Quetta.
