The Government of Balochistan has imposed a complete ban on the cutting of protected trees across the province for one year.
According to a notification issued by the Forest and Wildlife Department, the ban applies to the cutting, collection, and transportation of protected trees throughout Balochistan.
The department said the restriction has been imposed under the Balochistan Forest Act 2022. The law deals with the protection, conservation, management, and sustainable development of forests, rangelands, and other renewable natural resources in Balochistan.
The ban will remain in effect for one year or until further orders are issued.
The provincial government has directed the relevant authorities to ensure full implementation of the notification.
