NEXON, the developer behind the massively popular online survival shooter game ARC Raiders, said in its Q1 2026 earnings report that the game has surpassed 16 million units sold in around six and a half months. The game sold 4.6 million units during Q1 2026 alone.

ARC Raiders had already reached 15.5 million sales by the end of the quarter before crossing the 16 million mark shortly afterward. NEXON described it as the most successful new product launch in the company’s history.

NEXON additionally confirmed that Embark Studios is currently developing two new games, though both projects remain in early development stages.

NEXON said ARC Raiders and its other new releases helped drive year-over-year revenue growth of 188% to roughly $409 million during Q1 2026.

The company also said ARC Raiders consistently ranked among Steam’s most played games. More than half of active players have reportedly spent over 100 hours in the game, while total player time has exceeded 1.5 billion hours.

NEXON confirmed that ARC Raiders has secured an ISBN approval in China and is preparing for multiple closed beta tests in 2026 through publisher Tencent.

An ISBN is required by China’s State Administration of Press and Publication before a game can officially operate and generate revenue in mainland China.

The approval process is often lengthy and more difficult for foreign titles.

The ISBN approval removes a major regulatory barrier for ARC Raiders ahead of its planned China release.

Developer Embark Studios recently confirmed a slower update schedule for ARC Raiders, focused on larger content releases.

The next major update, called Frozen Trail, is scheduled for October.

NEXON described it as the largest update since launch and said it will include several additional hours of gameplay, a new map, free content, and paid cosmetic items.

Embark’s free-to-play shooter THE FINALS also recorded 47% year over year growth during Q1, driven by Season 9.
