Montenegro has introduced temporary visa-free entry for eligible foreign nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the 2026 summer season.
Under the scheme, eligible travelers will be allowed to stay in Montenegro for up to 10 days without a visa. The facility will remain available from May 1 to October 1, 2026.
According to Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the exemption applies to foreign passport holders who have maintained valid UAE residency for at least three consecutive years.
Travelers must arrive on a direct flight, hold a passport valid for the entire duration of their stay, and provide confirmation of a booked tour package.
The decision makes Montenegro the latest destination to ease entry requirements for UAE residents traveling for tourism.
Several other countries, including Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan, also offer simplified travel options to UAE residents of eligible nationalities. Depending on the destination and the traveler’s nationality, these may include visa-free entry, visa on arrival, or electronic visa facilities.
However, each country has its own eligibility rules and entry requirements.
