The district administration of Naran has issued a travel advisory for Babusar Top, warning tourists, passengers and transporters to avoid unnecessary travel due to continuous snowfall and unsafe road conditions.
According to the advisory, heavy snowfall at Babusar Top has created difficulties for travelers. The administration said people should check weather conditions before leaving for the area.
Officials said traffic flow on the Babusar Top road and nearby areas has been affected by snowfall. In some places, the road is open only for one-way traffic.
The administration warned that travel on the route becomes almost impossible after 6 p.m. because of the intensity of snowfall. Authorities also said slippery roads, brake issues, sudden glacier and rockfalls, and possible landslides could put lives and property at risk.
Tourists, transporters and the general public have been asked to avoid unnecessary travel until the district administration issues further instructions about safe movement on the Babusar route.
The administration also urged people to strictly follow the directions of the district administration and police to avoid any dangerous situation.
