The Sindh government has approved a 7.5 percent increase in the minimum wage for workers across the province following recommendations from the Minimum Wages Board.
The decision raises the monthly minimum wage for unskilled workers from Rs40,000 to Rs43,000, effective July 1.
The revised minimum wage will apply to workers employed in notified industrial and commercial establishments across Sindh.
The Sindh cabinet also approved higher wage rates for semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers in line with the new minimum wage structure.
