Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has issued important guidelines for pilgrims ahead of Hajj 2026, aimed at ensuring their safety, comfort, and smooth movement during the pilgrimage.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry said the instructions are designed to make the Hajj journey easier and more organized so pilgrims can perform their religious duties peacefully and in accordance with official regulations.
The ministry explained various routes and locations within Masjid al-Haram, including designated entry points and tracks that provide easy access for Tawaf of the Holy Kaaba and Sa’i.
Authorities also highlighted that special pathways have been allocated for wheelchairs and electric mobility chairs inside the Grand Mosque, where such facilities are available for pilgrims in need. The ministry advised pilgrims not to sit in the Sa’i area, as it is reserved exclusively for those performing the ritual.
In its health and safety advisory, the ministry urged pilgrims to wear face masks during peak crowd hours inside Masjid al-Haram to avoid health risks caused by overcrowding.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior also stressed strict compliance with Hajj regulations, warning that entering Makkah or the holy sites without an official permit is a violation of the law and may result in severe penalties.
