US President Donald Trump did not receive any advice from Field Marshal Asim Munir to lift a naval blockade on Iranian ports to advance peace negotiations, sources told ProPakistani.

The report was published by Reuters and attributed to unnamed Pakistani security sources.

It alleged that Field Marshal Asim Munir had requested the US administration reconsider the blockade as part of efforts to facilitate dialogue with Iran.

It further suggested that the proposal was being reviewed by the American leadership.

Pakistani officials categorically denied the claims, calling the report inaccurate and misleading.

A senior source said no Pakistani security official had provided any briefing or information to international media outlets regarding such discussions, describing the report as “classic misinformation and fake reporting.”

The government has maintained that no communication of this nature took place and rejected suggestions that Islamabad attempted to intervene in US-Iran tensions through backchannel diplomacy.

The White House has not issued an official response at the time of reporting.
