The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has launched and operationalized the Housing Societies Management System (HSMS) for digital processing of matters related to Private Housing Schemes (PHS) within its jurisdiction.
The system was introduced on the directions of Rawalpindi Division Commissioner and RDA Director General Salman Ghani to ensure more transparent, efficient and streamlined processing of applications.
An RDA spokesperson said the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) had cleared HSMS for implementation at the RDA. Sponsors of private housing schemes can now submit applications through the HSMS portal under the applicable rules and regulations.
The system provides a centralized platform for submitting, scrutinizing and processing applications, reducing paperwork and helping ensure timely disposal of cases.
The RDA has advised sponsors to submit fresh applications, revisions and other admissible matters through HSMS instead of submitting physical applications. Applicants must upload all required information and supporting documents properly to avoid unnecessary delays.
The spokesperson said the system marks a step toward digitization, transparency and improved service delivery in the management of private housing schemes. The RDA also asked sponsors and other stakeholders to cooperate for its smooth implementation and effective functioning.
