In the Rawat area of Rawalpindi, police have registered a case following an incident in which a woman and her daughter were injured during a reported domestic dispute involving a disagreement over a third marriage.

According to the police and the complainant, the husband filed a report stating that his wife, Ayesha Imran, called him home urgently while he was at work.

He said that when he arrived at the apartment, the situation had already escalated, and his wife was allegedly holding a knife.

The complainant further alleged that during the incident, the woman injured their daughter’s wrist and then also harmed herself. He claimed he was able to save the child in time.

The husband stated that the ongoing dispute between the couple was linked to his intention to enter a third marriage, which his wife had reportedly been opposing.

Police said the incident is being investigated from multiple angles and that both the woman and the child received medical treatment.

Authorities also noted that attempts at reconciliation were made but were unsuccessful.

The complainant has expressed concern that the situation could worsen in the future, prompting police to continue their investigation after registering a formal case.
