Punjab University has been ranked as Pakistan’s top university for scientific research by the Nature Publishing Group, marking a significant achievement in the country’s higher education sector.

According to the latest ranking, Punjab University secured the highest position in Pakistan with a score of 6.88, outperforming other institutions, including specialized science universities.

Founded in 1869, Nature Publishing Group is one of the world’s leading scientific publishing organizations, widely recognized for publishing and promoting high-impact research journals.

A Punjab University spokesperson credited the achievement to the university’s research-focused policies and continued efforts to strengthen scientific output.

Faculty members and students also congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali on the milestone.

The latest recognition highlights Punjab University’s growing contribution to scientific research and reinforces its position as a leading institution for innovation and academic excellence in Pakistan.
