The Punjab government has decided to digitize the issuance of medico-legal certificates and reports at all government teaching hospitals across the province.

The matter was reviewed during a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare Khawaja Salman Rafique, which was attended by key representatives from the healthcare department, hospital administrators, and other relevant officials.

During the meeting, Khawaja Salman Rafique directed all government teaching hospitals to immediately move the process of issuing medico-legal certificates and reports to an online system.

He instructed the medical superintendents to take full responsibility for implementing the decision and introduce effective measures to modernize the existing reporting system.

Specialized Healthcare Secretary Azmat Mehmood made it clear that manual medico-legal reports would not be accepted under any circumstances.

He directed the relevant authorities to complete all necessary arrangements as soon as possible to shift government teaching hospitals to the digital system.
