The Punjab government has decided to fill various vacant positions across the province’s educational boards, with the recruitment process already underway.
The vacancies include Computer Programmer, Assistant, Senior Computer Operator, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Estate Officer, among other positions, at boards including Lahore and Faisalabad.
The Lahore Board alone will recruit for 33 posts in grades 16 and 17. All appointments will be made through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
The move is expected to address staff shortages that have affected the administrative operations of the educational boards for years. Some boards have reportedly been waiting for fresh recruitment for around 15 years.
The Education Department said the new appointments would help improve the boards’ administrative performance and ensure that vacant positions are filled through a transparent process.
Officials said all recruitment would be carried out strictly on merit, with candidates selected according to the prescribed criteria and recruitment procedures.
