The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has started the registration process for Grade 8 students appearing in the Annual Examination 2026-27 through its Item Bank System (IBS).

According to an official notification issued by PECTAA, all public schools across Punjab have been directed to complete the registration of Grade 8 students using their official school login credentials on the IBS portal.

The registration process began on May 25, 2026, and will continue until July 8, 2026. District Education Authorities (DEAs) have been instructed to ensure that all schools complete the registration process within the prescribed timeline.

Under the guidelines, heads of institutions must ensure that students’ dates of birth entered in the online enrollment forms match official records. Any discrepancies will be the responsibility of the head of the institution.

Schools have also been directed to upload recent passport-size photographs of candidates and accurately enter all required information, including student names, fathers’ names, dates of birth, B-Form numbers, subject combinations, school details and parent or guardian contact information.

The notification further states that requests for age corrections will be processed strictly in accordance with PECTAA rules and regulations. District authorities have been asked to issue necessary instructions to school heads to ensure timely completion of the registration process for the upcoming annual examination.
