The Punjab School Education Department has granted permission to both public and private schools to conduct summer camps during the summer break, issuing detailed guidelines to ensure student safety and comfort.

According to the notification, summer camps will run from June 1 to June 30 and will operate from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Classes will be held from Monday to Thursday only, while Friday will remain a holiday.

Officials clarified that participation in summer camps will not be mandatory for students. Schools must also obtain parental consent before allowing children to attend.

The department has directed private schools not to charge any additional fees for summer camp activities. Students will not be required to wear uniforms and may attend in weather-appropriate clothing.

School administrations have been instructed to ensure the availability of basic facilities, including cold drinking water, fans, and first-aid arrangements, to protect students from extreme weather conditions.

Punjab’s Education Minister has also shared the official notification, confirming that both government and private schools may conduct summer camps under the prescribed rules. Authorities have warned that action will be taken against institutions found violating the department’s guidelines.
