The city traffic police has decided to take stricter action against repeat traffic violators as part of efforts to improve road discipline and ease congestion.
According to officials, motorcycles of individuals who repeatedly violate traffic rules will be impounded starting Monday. The move is aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic laws and discouraging habitual violations.
Authorities said awareness campaigns have also been launched in different areas to promote lane discipline and educate citizens about traffic regulations.
Officials added that violations will be monitored through Safe City cameras, while smart enforcement vehicles will patrol roads to identify and act against offenders in real time.
The traffic police said action will also be taken against e-challan defaulters, with their motorcycles to be impounded as part of the enforcement drive. Authorities have urged citizens to follow traffic rules to help improve the overall traffic system in the city.
