The Punjab government has allocated funds for the construction of one flyover and six underpasses in Rawalpindi and Gujar Khan under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27.

According to the development budget, Rs. 100 million has been earmarked for the Rs. 3 billion Ammar Chowk flyover, which is part of the Mall Signal-Free Project in Rawalpindi.

The government has also allocated Rs. 200 million for the construction of the Race Course and Army Graveyard underpasses.

Meanwhile, Rs. 93 million has been set aside for the Rs. 2.691 billion Tulsa Chowk underpass, while another Rs. 100 million has been allocated for the Rs. 3.75 billion COD underpass.

In Gujar Khan, the provincial government has earmarked Rs. 100 million for the construction of two underpasses at Galiana Mor and Technical College Chowk. The combined estimated cost of the two projects stands at Rs. 4.531 billion.

The allocations are part of the Punjab government’s efforts to ease traffic congestion, improve road connectivity, and upgrade transport infrastructure across the Rawalpindi region.
