Private affiliated institutions achieved a much higher pass percentage than government schools in the BISE Bahawalpur 9th Class Result 2026, according to the board’s official gazette.

Private-school students recorded a pass rate of 58.48%, compared with 32.29% for government-school candidates. This gave private institutions a lead of 26.19 percentage points.

Government schools had almost twice as many candidates and consequently produced more successful students in total. However, the difference was only 1,374 passes, despite government institutions having 27,960 more candidates.

Nearly six out of every 10 private-school students passed. The corresponding figure for government schools was slightly above three out of 10.

Private institutions recorded higher pass rates among both male and female candidates.

Private-school boys achieved a pass rate of 49.30%, compared with 23.68% for boys enrolled in government schools.

Among girls, private institutions recorded a pass percentage of 65.51%. Government-school girls achieved 40.22%.

Girls performed better than boys in both sectors. Private-school girls recorded the strongest result among the four major institutional categories.

A total of 108,502 candidates applied for the SSC Part-I First Annual Examination 2026. Of these, 105,601 appeared and 40,611 passed.

The overall BISE Bahawalpur pass percentage stood at 38.46%.

The board’s overall pass percentage declined from 43.08% in 2025 to 38.46% in 2026.

This represents a decrease of 4.62 percentage points. The pass percentage was also below the 44.04% recorded in 2024.

The official figures show that private affiliated schools dominated the result based on pass percentage. Their lead remained consistent among boys, girls, Science students and Humanities candidates.

However, the gazette does not identify the reasons behind the performance gap. Student intake, attendance, school location, academic resources and institutional selection policies may influence the results.

The figures should therefore be treated as an examination-performance comparison rather than a complete assessment of education quality.
