Pakistan’s women’s cricket team broke multiple records during a commanding 153-run victory over Zimbabwe in the first T20I of the three-match home series at the National Bank Stadium.
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana’s decision to bat first proved highly successful, as the hosts posted 237/5 in 20 overs, their highest-ever total in Women’s T20Is.
The innings surpassed their previous best of 181/4 against South Africa in 2024.
Right-handed batter Ayesha Zafar led Pakistan’s batting charge with a brilliant unbeaten century. She scored 102 not out from 47 balls, hitting 15 fours and two sixes, while also breaking multiple individual records in the process.
She received strong support from Aliya Riaz, who made 48, Gull Feroza, who scored 37, and captain Fatima Sana, who remained unbeaten on 21.
Zimbabwe struggled badly in reply as Pakistan’s bowling attack, led by Fatima, dismantled the visitors’ batting lineup. Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 84 in 18.2 overs, which became their third-lowest total in Women’s T20Is.
Zimbabwe’s lowest total remains 61 all out against Vanuatu in 2024, while 64/9 against New Zealand in 2026 is their second-lowest score.
The result gave Pakistan a massive 153-run victory, their biggest winning margin by runs in Women’s T20Is. It surpassed their previous best of 147 runs against Malaysia in 2018.
