The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has warned former national cricketers of strict disciplinary action for participating in the 20th Asian Legends League currently being held in Zambia. In a statement issued, the board said the International Cricket Council (ICC) has classified the tournament as an unsanctioned and disapproved event under its Regulations on the Sanctioning of Events and Player Release.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has warned former national cricketers of strict disciplinary action for participating in the 20th Asian Legends League currently being held in Zambia.

In a statement issued, the board said the International Cricket Council (ICC) has classified the tournament as an unsanctioned and disapproved event under its Regulations on the Sanctioning of Events and Player Release.

The event has also not been approved by the Zambia Cricket Union, according to the PCB.

The board said players who participated in the tournament without obtaining the required approvals could face a two-year ban on receiving a PCB No Objection Certificate (NOC) for approved overseas leagues and cricket events.

They may also be barred for two years from taking up any cricketing, coaching, consultancy, mentoring, or other assignments with the PCB and the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The PCB added that the ICC requires all foreign players to obtain an NOC from their respective home boards before taking part in overseas cricket events.

Under ICC regulations, member boards are also required to take appropriate action against players who participate in unsanctioned tournaments. Failure to do so may result in action against the concerned cricket board.
